Galliom Lieut. Conder suggests (Tent-Work in Palest. 2:336) as a representative of this site the present Beit-Jala, doubtless meaning the place of that name a few miles south of Jerusalem, SEE ZELAH; but the passage in Isaiah (10:30) requires a position north of that city.
