Fro

Fro in Norse mythology, is a deity of the second grade, worshipped by the Goths and Danes as the ruler of the winds. He received bloody, often human, sacrifices, which he himself instituted. According to other accounts, black animals were sacrificed to him by the Danish king, Hadding, which later were replaced by human sacrifices; they are called Froablot. Others make Fro the same with Freir (q.v.).
