Flack, Alonzo, Ph.D.

a Methodist Episcopal educator, was born at Argyle, N.Y., September 19, 1823. He graduated from Union College in 1849, and began a course at the Concord Biblical Institute, but before completing it was elected the principal of a school at Charlotteville. He became the president of the Hudson River Institute in 1855. In 1869 the board of regents of the state of New York granted it a college charter. He died in March 1885.
