Esh'taulite

[many Esh'taulite] (Hebrews collect. with the art. ha-Eshtaili', הָאֶשׁתָּאֻלַי, Sept. οιΕ῾᾿αθαωλαῖοι v.r. ὑἱοὶ Ε᾿σθαάμ,Vulg. Esthaolitae, A.V. "the Eshtaulites"), the designation of the inhabitants of ESHTAOL SEE ESHTAOL (q.v.), who, with the Zareathites, were at a later period among the families of Kirjath-jearim (1Ch 2:53).
