Eed Elkorban

Eed el-korban

(festival of the sacrifice), a festival celebrated among the Persian Mohammedans in honor of the patriarch Abraham. The day before the feast about four hundred camels are collected from the neighboring country, and the first that rises, after resting, is chosen for the sacrifice, shot, and speared.
