Dunlop, William

Dunlop, William an English clergyman, was born in Glasgow in 1692. In 1712 he went to Utrecht, where he spent two years, and in 1716 was promoted to be regius professor of divinity and church history. He often preached in the churches at Edinburgh. He died there in 1720. His works are Sermons (2 volumes, 12mo), and an Essay on Confession of Faith. See Chalmers, Biog. Dict. s.v.; Allibone, Dict. of Brit. and Amer. Authors, s.v.
