Dositheus (3)

Dositheus Greek patriarch of Jerusalem. He assembled, in 1672, a synod at Jerusalem for the purpose of rooting out Calvinism, which, in his opinion, had been introduced into the Greek Church by the patriarch Cyril Lucaris. He died in 1706. — Allgem. Real-Encyklop. 4:817.
