Desjardins (or Van Den Bogaerten), Martin

Desjardins (or van den Bogaerten), Martin an eminent Dutch sculptor, was born at Breda, Holland, in 1640. He was received into the Academy of Paris at the age of thirty-one; and died in Paris in 1694. Among his numerous productions were six groups for the Church of the Mazarin College, representing the fathers of the Greek and Roman churches. See Spooner, Biog.
