Dannemayr, Mathias

Dannemayr, Mathias a Roman Catholic theologian of Germany, was born February 13, 1741, at Oepfingen, in Wurtemburg. He studied at Freiburg, and was appointed in 1773 professor of church history there. In 1786 he was called to Vienna, but exchanged his position for that of a custos in the university library, on account of feeble health, in 1803. He died July 8, 1805, leaving Introductio in Historiam Ecclesiae Christianae Universamt (Friburgi, 1778): — Historia Succincta Controversiarum de Librorum Symbolicorum Auctoritate inter Lutheranos Agilatarum (ibid. 1780): — Institutiones Eccles.
