Damia

Damia a goddess among the ancients, said to be the wife of Faunus. She was so chaste that she never saw nor heard any other man than her own husband. Her sacrifice, which was always offered in, private houses, with windows and doors shut, was called Damium. No man, nor picture of a male, was suffered to be present, nor were women allowed to reveal what passed.
