Creech, Thomas

Creech, Thomas an English poet and clergyman, was born near Sherborne, Dorsetshire, in 1659, and entered at Wadham College, Oxford, in 1675. In 1683 he was elected probationer fellow of All-Souls' College. Having taken orders in 1699, he was presented to the living of Welwyn, in Hertfordshire. He put an end to his life in June 1700.
