Crane, William Croes, D.D.

a Protestant Episcopal clergyman, was born at Bridgeton, N.J., in 1814. He received a military education at West Point, N.Y.; was ordained deacon in 1837; for several years, until 1856, was rector in Centreville, Maryland; subsequently, for a short time, in Baltimore; and at St. Andrew's Church, Jackson, Mississippi, from 1858 until his death, March 21, 1877.
