Cozbi

Coz'bi (Heb. כָּזבַּי, Kozbi, false; Sept. Χασβί; Joseph. Χοσβία, Ant. 4, 6, 10), the daughter of Zur, a Midianitish prince. Phinehas, in his holy indignation, slew her, while in the act of committing lewdness with Zimri, an Israelitish chief, by thrusting a javelin through the middle of both (Nu 25:15,18). B.C. 1619.
