Coxe, William (2)

a Presbyterian minister, was born in Pennsylvania. He was a student in Jefferson College, and graduated at Princeton Theological Seminary in 1828. He was ordained an evangelist by the Presbytery of New Brunswick, October 8 of the same year; was missionary to New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1829; stated supply at Apple Creek, Ohio, from 1832 to 1836; at Lancaster in 1837; pastor there from 1838 to 1849; and thereafter at Piqua until his death, in 1856.
