Cordicoles

Cordicoles (from cor, the heart, and colo, to worship) were a sect of Roman Catholic devotees which rose in France about the middle of the 18th century, professing to worship the sacred heart of Jesus and the heart of the Virgin Mary. SEE SACRED HEART.
