Corbyn, Candia

Corbyn, Candia a Welsh minister of the Society of Friends, was born at Pontypool, Monmouthshire. about 1671. Through the ministry of Thomas Wilson she was brought to the knowledge of the truth in the eighteenth year of her age, and a few years after received "a call to the ministry," in the exercise of which "she was sound and clear." Through a long life she manifested the power of her religion. She died in Worcester, April 28, 1767. See Piety Promoted, 2:423. (J.C.S.)
