Copeland, George W Doane

Copeland, George W. Doane a minister of the Protestant Episcopal Church, was born in Boston, Massachusetts, February 22, 1833. In 1860 he graduated from the German Theological Seminary, and was ordained deacon in that year, and priest in 1863. His ministerial life was spent in connection with St. Luke's Church, New York city, though his labors were frequently interrupted by bodily suffering. He died in Boston, May 21, 1864. His character was distinguished by marked piety. See American Quarterly Church Review, April 1865, page 139.
