Cole, Erastus

Cole, Erastus a Presbyterian minister, was born at Colesville, N.Y., August 13, 1796. He was educated in Oneida Academy, and began his ministerial labors in Colesville. In 1839 he removed to Litchfield, Ohio, where he was pastor for two years; then to Huron, in 1841, where he remained for six years. He died October 18, 1862. Mr. Cole was regarded by his associates as an able, evangelical, and earnest preacher of the Gospel. See Wilson, Presb. Hist. Almanac, 1863, page 290.
