Cnopf, Ernst Friedrich Andreas

Cnopf, Ernst Friedrich Andreas, a Protestant theologian of Germany, was born Dec. 21, 1752, at Nuremberg. He studied at Altdorf, and was in 1780 morning preacher at Nuremberg. In 1784 he accepted a call as pastor of the Lutheran Church at Vienna, and died April 3, 1789. He published some Sermons. See Doring, Die Gelehrten theologen Deutschlands, i, 259.
