Cless, David Friedrieh Von

Cless, David Friedrieh Von, a Protestant theologian of Germany, was born Feb. 13, 1768, at Calw. He studied at Tubingen, was in 1796 deacon at Heidenhelm, in 1799 at Goppingen, and in 1807 at, Schorndorf. In 1810 he was appointed dean and pastor at Rentlingen, after having been ennobled the previous year, and died Aug. 10, 1810. He published Versuch einer Kirchlich politischen Lundes und Cultrgeschichte yon Wurtemberg bis zur Reformation (Tubingen, 1807). See Doring, Die Gelehrten Theologen Deutschlands, i, 257. 03. P.)
