Clark, John W

Clark, John W., a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Harford Counts, Md., Sept. 21, 1803. He removed, while quite young, with his parents to Hamilton County, 0.; experienced religion when a boy; received license to exhort at the age of eighteen; in 1824 to preach, and in 1825 entered the Ohio Conference, where he was faithful and laborious until his death, Aug. 26, 1862. Mr. Clark was silent and unobtrusive in manner, highly exemplary in his every-day life, an excellent preacher, and a model pastor. See Minutes of Annual Conferences, 1862, p. 137.
