Chylmarke (Lat.(Chilmarcius), John an English philosopher, who flourished in 1390, was born at Chylmark, Wiltshire; educated at Merton College, Oxford; became a diligent searcher into the mysteries of nature; an. acute thinker and disputant; but most remarkable for his skill in mathematics, being the author of many tractates in that science.
