Cholmondeley, Robert

Cholmondeley, Robert an English divine, was born November 1, 1727. For some time he was an officer in the army, but entered into holy orders, and was presented by the king to the united rectories of St. Andrew, St. Nicholas, and St. Mary, Hertford, and to the rectory of Hertingfordbury, besides which he held the position of auditor-general of his majesty's revenues in America till the separation of that country from Great Britain. He died June 6, 1804. See (Lond.) Annual Register, 1804, page 488.
