Chiclester, Isaac

Chiclester, Isaac a Presbyterian minister, was born in New Canaan, Connecticut, in November 1786. He studied medicine and continued in its practice, mostly in Pembroke, N.Y., till 1832; was licensed by the Genesee Presbytery in 1838, and became pastor at Orangeville, where he labored for twenty-two years, He died at Bennington, August 27, 1864. He was prudent high- minded, and prompt. See Wilson, Presb. Hist. Almanac, 1866, page 211.
