Chelles, Jean De

Chelles, Jean De, a French architect, or rather, master-mason, flourished. about 1250. He erected, among other fine structures, the south entrance of the celebrated church of Notre Dame at Paris. See Spooner, Biog. Hist. of the Fine Arts, s.v. Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
