Chagis, Jacob

Chagis, Jacob an Oriental Jewish rabbi, who died at Constantinople in 1688, is the author of תהלת חכמה, or a Methodology of the Talmud (Verona, 1647; Amsterdam, 1709): — קרבן מנחה, on Rites: — עוֹ החיים, a Commentary on the Mishna (Leghorn, 1672), and others.
