Cavagna, Pietro Francesco

Cavagna, Pietro Francesco a Bolognese historical painter, was born in 1675, and studied under Domenico Viani. He was employed in decorating the Bolognese churches. In the Church of Sts. Sebastian and Rocho is his paintings of The Conception, St. Sebastian, and St. Roch. In San Colombano are pictures of St. Nicholas and St. John the Baptist; and in San Giuseppe The Nativity. Cavagna died in 1733.
