Carem

Carem (Καρέμ), one of the additional group of eleven cities of Judah (q.v.) interpolated by the Septuagint at Jos 15:59, and thought to be the present village Ain Karim, about 1½ hour west of Jerusalem (Wilson, Lands of Bible, 2:268; Schwarz, Palest. p. 96, 108; Robinson, Later Bib. Res. p. 367-9), but the position agrees better with that of BETH- HACCEREM SEE BETH-HACCEREM (q.v.).
