Caprini (Lat Caprinus), Giovanni Antonio

Caprini (Lat. Caprinus), Giovanni Antonio, a Neapolitan theologian and philosopher, was born in Aquila in 1614. He belonged to the society of the Jesuits, and became professor of philosophy and belles-lettres in several houses of his order, as well as rector of various colleges. He published, under the pseudonym of Siderius Leo, the following: Apes Barberince Universa Philosophia: — De Motu Trepidationis- Terrce: — Lux Philosophica. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
