Cappelli, Francesco

Cappelli, Francesco (called (accianemici), an Italian painter, was born at Sassuolo, in the duchy of Modena, and flourished from 1535 to 1586. He studied under Correggio, and resided chiefly at Bologna. There is a picture by him, representing The Virgin with Saints, in the church of San Sebastiano, at Sassuolo. See Spooner, Biog.
