Capitelli, Bernardio

Capitelli, Bernardio, a painter and engraver of Siena, was born in 1589, studied under A. Casolani, and R. Manetti, and died in 1639. Little is known of him as a painter, but as an engraver he executed a number of works, among which are the following:: The Marriage of St. Catherine; The Repose in Egypt; The Life of St. Bernard of Sienac; St. Anthony of Padua, and. his Miracles.
