Capell, Daniel S

Capell, Daniel S., a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church South, was born in North Carolina, Dec. 15,1801. He received a careful religious training; emigrated with his parents to Kentucky in 1816; and, after having been local preacher for several years, in 183Q entered the Kentucky Conference. In 1844 he moved to Missouri and joined the St. Louis Conference, wherein he labored until within a short time of his death, which occurred on his way to California, June 10, 1852. Mr. Capell was more than an ordinary preacher. See Minutes of Annual Conferences of the M. E. Church South, 1852, p. 379.
