Campbell, John Poage, Md

Campbell, John Poage, M.D., a Presbyterian minister, was born in Augusta County, Va., in 1767. In 1781 he removed to Kentucky. He graduated at Hampden-Sidney College in 1790, and was licensed to preach in May, 1792, and took charge of several congregations in Virginia, In 1795 he returned to Kentucky, and became pastor of the churches of Smyrna and Flemingsburg; He died at Chillicothe, O., Nov. 4,1814.
