Campbell, Alexander (3), Dd

Campbell, Alexander (3), D.D., a Presbyterian minister, was born in Pennsylvania, and graduated from Jefferson College. He studied theology at Princeton Theological Seminary two years, graduating in 1822. He was ordained a minister in the Presbyterian Church, and preached at Buckingham and Blackwater, Md., from 1828 to 1837. Subsequently he preached at Dover, Del., and Poplar Springs,, Md. He then became stated. supply at Makemie Church, New Orleans, La., from 1850 to 1854. He was a teacher in the same place during 1855. He died in 1855. See Gen. Cat. of Princeton Theol.
