(ὁ Χαλφί, v. r. Χαλφεί, perhaps for A lpheus [q.v.], Josephus Χαψαῖος, Ant. 13:5, 7), father of Judas, which latter was one of the two captains (ἄρχοντες) of Jonathan's army who remained firm at the battle of Gennesar (1 Macc. 11:70).
