Brown, John M.

a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born at Mayfield, N.Y., August 12, 1835. He removed to Steuben County, Indiana, about 1853; served as a soldier in the Federal army over three years; in 1870 began preaching, and at the close of that year entered the North Indiana Conference, wherein he labored with zeal and fidelity until his sudden death, January 18, 1878.
