Brown, John (7)

a Presbyterian minister, was born in Ireland in 1728. He graduated at Nassau Hall in 1749, was licensed by the New Castle Presbytery, and sent to the valley of Virginia. He received a call from Timber Ridge and Providence, and was ordained and installed October 11, 1753. He resigned his charge after a pastorate of twenty-three years, and removed to Kentucky.
