Brinkle, Samuel Crawford

Brinkle, Samuel Crawford a clergyman of the Protestant Episcopal Church, was born at Dover, Delaware, January 26, 1796. He graduated at Princeton College, N.J., in 1815; was ordained deacon in 1818 and priest in 1820; officiated at St. David's Parish, Radnor, Pennsylvania, for fourteen years; in Grace Church, Philadelphia, two years; and was assistant minister to the United Swedish churches fourteen years. In May 1848, he took charge of Christ Church, Christiana Hundred, near Wilmington, Delaware, where he remained until his death, March 12, 1863. He was a delegate from Delaware to the General Convention of 1862. See Amer. Quar. Church Rev. July 1863, page 321.
