Brettell, John

Brettell, John an English Wesleyan preacher, was born at Stourbridge, Worcestershire, in 1742. After being a local preacher for about four years, he was sent out by the Conference in 1771. Except for an interval of three years (on account of illness), he travelled in the ministry for about twenty-six years. He died in 1796. He was a plain, sincere, upright man. See Atmore, Meth.
