Bray, Sullivan

Bray, Sullivan a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Minot, Maine, September 15, 1795. He was carefully trained by a Christian mother; experienced a change of heart when quite young; began to preach at the age of twenty; and in 1818 entered the East Maine Conference, wherein he spent his long and useful life, dying suddenly, March 15, 1876. Mr. Bray was a diligent student of the Bible, a close observer of nature, a plain, practical preacher, and a powerful man in prayer. See Minutes of Annual Conferences, 1876, page 89.
