Boyd, Robert (1)

Boyd, Robert (1), a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Westmoreland Connty, Pa., April 5, 1792. He united with the Church in 1811, was received into the Baltimore Conference in 1815, transferred to Pittsburgh Conference in 1825, became a superannuate in 1860, was a member of the General Conferences of 1844 and 1856, and died at Barnesville, O., July 4, 1880. He was of decided convictions, conscientious, and faithful. See Minutes of Annual Conferences, 1880, p. 242.
