Bourgoin, Edmond

Bourgoin, Edmond a French theologian, became prior of the Jacobins at Paris, and showed great fanaticism, even justifying the assassination of Henry IV. he was arrested in 1589 with arms in his hands, and executed at Tours, Jan. 26 following. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
