Blake, William (3)

Blake, William (3), a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born at Stark, N. H., Nov. 30, 1811. He was; prayerful and thoughtful from childhood, but made no profession of religion until 1833; received an exhorter's, license soon after, and in 1837 joined the New Hampshire conference. In 1847, in consequence of excessive labors during a revival service, his health failed, and he was compelled to retire from the effective ranks. He died March 24, 1851. Mr.

Blake was energetic and faithful, and possessed fair preaching abilities. See. Minutes of Annual Conferences, 1851, p. 596.
