Bird, Francis (2)

Bird, Francis (2), a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church South, was born in 1785. He entered the South Carolina Conference in 1804, located in 1808, reentered in 1849, and, after laboring one or two years, was put on the superannuated list, which relation he sustained until his decease, Nov. 17, 1861. Mr. Bird was conspicuous for his devout Christian life, and faithfulness and usefulness in the ministry. See Minutes of Annual Conferences of the M. E. Church South, 1861, p. 341.
