Bilefeld Christian

Bilefeld Christian a Lutheran theologian of Germany, who died in 1695 at Delitsch, in Saiony, as doctor of theology, is the author of, Diss. Theol. de Conversione Honinis: — An Diver see Religionis Honines Faedus Ferire Possint et an etiam illud Frangere Licitum sit? Diss. Inaug. de Fide Veterum et Inprimis Fidelium Mundi Antedeluviani in Christum Verum Deum et Hominem ejusque Passiben ei Meritoriam.

His son, JOHANN CHRISTOPH, was born at Wernigerode, Dec. 25, 1664. For a time he acted as assistant to his father at Delitsch. In 1690 he received his degree as doctor of theology at Kiel, was in 1693 appointed professor of theology and superintendent at Giessen, and died June 21, 1727.
