Bierling, Friedrich Wilhelm

Bierling, Friedrich Wilhelm a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born March 22, 1676, at Magdeburg, and studied at Leipsic, where he also lectured for a number of years. In 1712 he was called to the pastorate at Rinteln, and was in 1714 superintendent and member of consistory; in 1716 was made professor of theology, and in 1720 doctor of divinity. He died July 25, 1728. He wrote, Epistola ad 2 Timothy. iv de Officio Evangelistce: — Dissertatio de Origine Mali: — Observationum in Gen.
