Bertonio Luigi

Bertonio Luigi an Italian missionary of the Jesuit order, was born at Fermo in 1555. He entered the Jesuit order in 1575, and went to the Indies in order to labor for the propagation of the faith. He died at Lima, Aug. 3, 1625, after a sojourn of forty-four years, thus terminating a life remarkable for its sanctity and beneficence.
