Bendidea

Bendidea a Thracian festival held in honor of the goddess Bendis (q.v.), and celebrated with great mirth and revelry. From Thrace the Bendidea were introduced into Athens, where they were celebrated annually on the 20th day of the Grecian month Thargelion.
