Bellet Charles

Bellet Charles a French ecclesiastical writer, was born at Quercy in 1702, and became prebendary of the Cathedral of Montauban. He had great success in preaching, but, being silenced through the enmity of the Jesuits, he gave himself to literary labors. His principal works are L'Adoration Chritienne (Montauban, 1754): — Des Droits de la Religion (ibid. 1764). See' Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
