Beeke, Henry, Dd

Beeke, Henry, D.D., an English clergyman and political economist, was born in 1751. He was consulted in financial affairs by Mr. Pitt and Mr. Vansittart (afterwards Lord Bexley). He died in 1837. He published Observations on the Income Tax (1799), and A Letter on Peace with France (1798). See Allibone, Dict. of Brit. and Amer. Authors, s.v.
